PUTRAJAYA FOOD: Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant was opened in 2003 at Palm Garden Hotel. The restaurant’s name in the Thai language; means Good Taste and it has been cooking great Thai delicacies to its clients.
The restaurant was closed recently in March due to the Movement Control Order as announced by the Government. During this period our Thai Chef Seeri had just retired from Aroi Dee. The Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant was then reopened on 15 June 2020 with the introduction of our new chef with some new dishes on the menu. The reopening was grace by Mr Rutch Soratana, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission and Group Captain Alongkot Tamprasert from the Royal Thai Embassy.

The new Thai Chef of Aroi Dee is Ruchiret Tha Vong Yot also known as Chef Teena. Chef Teena hails from Chiangmai, Thailand and has been residing in Malaysia since 2000. Her career in the culinary industry started in 1995 at a Thai restaurant in Chiangmai. In 2000, she decided to charter her career in Malaysia and started working in Bangkok House Restaurant. Later she joined Palm Garden Hotel in 2004 to work at Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant as a junior chef and in 2013 left to join Putrajaya Marriott Hotel. She is now back helming Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant. Chef Teena is assisted by Chef Randy.
The relaunching features not only a new menu at Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant but combined with a new concept of tasty and affordable dishes. The menu portions are crafted to suit 3 to 4 persons.
Specialities to look out for are the popular Miang Kham (Betel leaf one bite wrap) – which is an amazing appetizer and starter for your meal, Thai Pandan Chicken – marinated by the Chef and wrapped in fragrant pandan leaves, Thai Glass Noodle Salad - Yam Woon Sen,
Green Curry Chicken - Geng Keaw Wan Gai, Crispy Salted Beef, Steamed Squid with Spicy Lime Sauce, Steamed Fish Keang Som (with Hot and Sour sauce), Thai Style Beef noodles, Thai Sticky Rice in Jackfruit and so much more. Thai Takeaway box will also be available from 8 July 2020 onwards.

During the Recovery Movement Control Order, Aroi Dee’s operating hours are 12.00noon until 2.30pm for Lunch and 6.30pm until 9.00pm for Dinner. The restaurant is open daily. For reservations please do call Aroi Dee at 03 8943 2233 or 010 3676101.
