Bukit Bintang HotPot: Hot pot traditions date back hundreds of years in China, and the cuisine is gaining popularity in other nations around the world. Many famous Chinese hot pot brands have launched operations in Malaysia in recent years.
We recently visited the Shu Kingdom General Hot Pot located at R1, Lower Ground, Lot 10 Shopping Centre, 50, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to experience and taste the hot pot menu.
The Best Shu Kingdom General Hot Pot in Bukit Bintang KL - 巴蜀大将火锅
We tried quite a number of hot pots in Kuala Lumpur over the last couple of years, and the key differentiating factor is in the soup, especially each of their mala soup. You may select the level of spiciness for your Mala soup at Shu Kingdom General. We selected the lowest level since other hotpot restaurant mala soups might be a little overwhelming.
From the menu, there are 5 different kinds of broth that you can choose from which is Signature Mala Soup, mushroom soup, tomato soup, fish maw, and beauty collagen soup. It can be ordered either as a single-flavor, double-flavor hot pot, or triple-flavor hot pot. We decided on the Triple Flavor Hot Pot which is the Signature Mala, Tomato, and Mushroom in order for us to have a chance to taste the other soup base.
The ordering of the ingredients is quite simple, as it is done using the tablet that is given for each table. We began with the Kingdom Beef (half piece RM 16.00), which is sliced beef topped with a fresh egg that you mix with the beef slices to provide a smooth texture when we placed it in the hot pot. We liked it so much that we placed a second order for it.
Next was the Sakura Pork (full portion RM20.00),
not to forget our favourite dish which is Specialty Pork Belly (half portion - RM 14.00)
Our next meat selection is the Lamb Shoulder (half portion - RM20.00)
and the last meat we ordered was the Boneless Chicken drumstick (full portion - RM18.00)
For the balls section, we ordered the following, starting with a Mushroom Pork Ball (half portion - RM 12.00),
Fishball (half portion - RM8.00)
Beancurd Rolls (half portion - RM12.00)
Tri-Color Fresh Tofu (RM12.00)
Mushroom platter (RM14.00)
and finally the Yee Mee (RM3.50).
you can check out their full menu from this link Shu Kingdom General HotPot Menu
By the way, the tea, sauce, and hot pot oil costs RM8.00 per person. This is very standard pricing for all hot pot eateries.
This restaurant features exclusive private rooms with karaoke while you enjoy your hot pot.
Overall, we enjoyed our eating experience here with the antique design & ambiance and look forward to our future return. For more information and ongoing promotion, you can check out their Shu Kingdom General Malaysia Facebook page or for reservation, you can WhatsApp them at 60102121006
