“Everyone has their own interpretation of Hong Kong cuisine. Some say chicken chop or egg tarts and others may say Polo bun or cheese-baked rice and all of them would be right. This is because Hong Kong has witnessed an ever-evolving menu every decade with the earlier years somewhat replicating a British-style café,” says Ms Valerie Choo, Managing Director of Simply Awesome Sdn Bhd.
We had the opportunity to taste first hand a few of these Hong Kong popular dishes right here at the first Eatz@Hong Kong outlet, starting with the Cheese-Baked Chicken Cutlet With Rice (RM 22.80) - Golden crispy chicken cutlet with cheese-baked fried rice in your preferred sauce.
Mini Abalone Dried Scallop With Egg White Fried Rice (RM 28.80) - Stir-fried rice coated with egg white, mixed with dry scallop and baby abalone.
Satay Beef Rice (RM 18.80) - Marinated beef brisket with in-house special satay sauces for a rich and hearty flavour, served with rice.
Curry Seafood Rice (RM 26.80) - Rice topped with seafood with EATZ special curry sauce.
Smoked Duck In Pumpkin Rice (RM 19.80) - Smoked duck and seasonal vegetables cooked in pumpkin-infused soupy rice.
