The Spread All Day Dining Gardens Hotel Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur

The Spread All Day Dining located at Level 6, The Gardens Hotel & Residences Mid Valley City
Lingkaran Syed Putra 59200 Kuala Lumpur invited Best Restaurant To Eat to review its ala-carte menu recently.

The Spread, which is an all day dining restaurant, features a wide range of Chinese, Malay, Indian, Western & Japanese cuisine. Strategically located at the Gardens Mall, it was recently been refurbished and has turned into a vibrant and stylish all-day dining restaurant.

With a pleasant and calming ambiance, The Spread offers a comfortable and contemporary dining for you and your friends to dine in. Choose from a wide blend of Asian and Western delicacies to whet your appetite.

Known for its spacious and elegant setting, walking into The Spread at noon gave a different perspective of the restaurant with bright light streaming through its full-length windows.

Our review started with an order of the Ginseng Soup (RM 24)

The hearty and tummy warming soup is double boiled with a combination of Chinese herbs. It has a strong aroma of fresh ginseng and flavour of the chicken to make this wholesome soup to start our lunch.

Next we decided to try a little spicy food which is the Rogan Josh (RM 53) as recommended by the Chef.

Rogan Josh is a spicy lamb or mutton dish from the Kashmir region of India. It is a slow cooked lamb dish and has a not overwhelming distinctive spice infused flavour that goes well with the basmathi rice, crispy papadum, sweet and sour chutney together with salad, cucumber and tomato slices.

After that we went on to try out the Canadian Cod (RM 79) which is a lightly pan fried Canadian Cod with sauteed vegetables, parsley potatoes and ginger shoyu sauce.

We can really taste the natural sweetness of the fresh white fleshed, flaky Canadian Cod Fish. The dish was served with mash potatoes and topped with an in house made soya sauce.

From Canada, we travel to Italy where the next dish is the Prawn Aglio Olio (RM 38).

The pasta was ala dente topped with garlic Sauteed fresh Prawns.

The next dish we had is The Spread's Mixed Grill (RM 84) which consists of tenderly grilled Australian Beef Rib Eye, Chicken Breast, Lamb Chop and Chicken Sausage, served with sunny side up fried egg, grilled vegetables, side salad, potato wedges or mash potatoes.

The Mixed grill comes with several selection of sauces such as Classic Veal 'Jus', Truffle Butter, Sarawakian Black Pepper, Mushroom and Creamy Lemon Butter. You can choose to your liking from choices of 5 sauces to go with your platter.

Our last mains was the Chicken & Mushroom Pot Pie ( RM 42).

We love the crust of the pie as it was very flaky but the only setback was that the filling of mushroom sauce was lacking in the creaminess and quantity while it was healthy to use breast meat, it lacks the bite textures if thigh meat was used instead.

To end our sweet note, our dessert was the Banana, Cheese & Chocolate Pizza (RM 40)

This uniquely desserts is a sweet spot and coupled with thin crust dough and the perfect amount of chocolatey sauce topped with freshly cut Bananas, fragrant coconut jam and shredded Cheese was enough to get us going for the second and third helping. It was a very delicious end to our review.

At The Spread All Day Dining The Gardens Hotel & Residences Mid Valley City, one can instantly enjoy the different flavours from all over the world right in the comfort of this restaurant.
