Subang Jaya Food: Nasi Padang is one of the most popular Indonesian food; The Grand Sari Ratu Prima has moved across the road from Subang Parade to Wisma Consplant Subang Jaya more than 1 year ago.

GRAND SARI RATU PRIMA - Subang Jaya

One will not be mistaken with the same authentic Nasi Padang flavours from the Grand Sari Ratu Prima. It offers a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices that make it one of the more popular go to restaurants for its Nasi Padang delicacies.

GRAND SARI RATU PRIMA Menu

One of the many features of Nasi Padang is that there are usually served with many dishes. In Indonesia, during my visit there, the practice of laying many dishes on the table the minute you sit down at a Nasi Padang shop, you actually do not need to make any orders. Just sit down and in a minute of 2, all the dishes will be laden of the table. You eat what you want and pay for those dishes that you have eaten. Of course, in Malaysia, this is no longer a practice.

Indo Bowl @Sg Besi - Indomie Mee Goreng With A Fiery Twist

If you are a fan of Instant Noodle or specifically Indomie instant noodle from Indonesia; then Indo Bowl will offer you a great pleasure as almost all the dishes served here are using this popular Indonesian instant noodles. Indo Bowl is located at 72, Jalan Tasik Utama 7, Lakesfield, Sg Besi
Kuala Lumpur 57000. For more information, you can visit their Indo Bowl Facebook Page

Indo Bowl has just started operation and it already has a clout of avid followers. In a nutshell, the food served here has been fusionlize with some Western-style grilled dishes.

What really set it apart from the Indomie Mee Goreng that you can cook at home is the home-made Sambal that came with each order of the noodle; to be exact 2 different type of it which is Sambal Hijau and Sambal Merah. I personally like the Sambal Hijau which has the taste of onion and green chillies. The taste of these Sambal differs much from those Sambals that are served at the Malay Restaurant. We were told these sambals are freshly made on a daily basis.

You can order the base set at RM6.00 which comes laden with the sambal and a piece of sunny side up eggs and of course the Indomie Mee Goreng.

or, you can order it with a piece of  Ayam Madura as a side dish which was marinated, pan grilled and topped with a special Madura sauce.

Lastly; which is the crowd favourite is a platter dish called the Mumbo Jumbo (RM59.00); which you can share with your friends which came with a piece of grilled steak, grilled lamb chop, grilled chicken and satay with 4 pieces of sunny side up and of course the Indomie Goreng as its base. Our order came with loads of combination of Sambal Hijau/Merah at the side. If you can take more spicy factor, you can order for additional Sambal to give you that extra kick.

Besides Indomie Mee Goreng dishes, Indo Bowl also serves some rice-based dishes too, but we did not try it this round, probably on our next visit. So, if you are a real fan and like to taste your favourite instant noodle with a dash of spicy sambal and with special add-on's, then Indo Bowl is the place to go for.

Naughty Nuri’s @ Desa Sri Hartamas Kuala Lumpur – Signature Bali Pork Ribs Review

Naughty Nuri’s has its origin root from Bali, Indonesia. For most tourists including yours truly, which had eaten this famous BBQ ribs in Bali; can attest to the taste of this perfectly done BBQ ribs with the delightful marinade and sauce that comes with the ribs.

+BestRestaurant ToEat was invited to taste out this claimed Best BBQ Ribs in KL and some of the specialty fares at the first outlet in Malaysia located at No.2, Ground Floor, 20/70A, Jalan Sri Hartamas 22, Desa Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia is the first country outside Bali, Indonesia; that serves this closely guarded secret recipe of this signature dish.

We started the review with the Naughty Nuri 1995 Signature BBQ Spare Ribs (RM39.90 per slab). The slabs of spare rib which are specially marinated with Balinese spice and char grilled with a special sauce to fully enhance the overall flavour and aroma of the charred ribs.

The soft texture of the spare ribs meat which went thru a cooking process to ensure all the spices are deeply penetrated to the meat to ensures that the taste stay in.

Next, we had the special Naughty Nuri BBQ Satay (RM25.00). This Satay Lilit is very much like the Malaysian Satay but, it wrapped in the lemon grass stick which gives the meat an extra flavouring of lemon grass. The minced pork is marinated with the Balinese spices.

After that, we had the Indonesian Style Mee Goreng (RM18.00). The chef uses the instant noodles type and stirred fried with a combination of mix vegetables, onion, chillies and sliced pork with black sauce. The taste is quite similar to our maggi goreng but it does not use the flavouring pack unlike the mamak shop which uses this flavouring.

And the last dish is the Indonesian Style Nasi Goreng (RM18.00). For this nasi goreng, it uses the same condiments; the only difference is the use of rice instead of noodles. As in Indonesian style, it comes with the fish crackers and a sunny side up eggs.

For those that like to taste out these special fares especially the Signature BBQ Spare Ribs can drop by at Naughty Nuri’s Desa Sri Hartamas. Let us know your comment after you have tried it out.
