Let’s be real—when you hear “5-star hotel dining,” your wallet probably starts sweating a little. That was exactly my reaction before visiting Lai Ching Yuen. But then I stumbled upon their early dinner promotion, and suddenly, things got interesting. RM98++ for two people? RM188++ for four? At a luxury hotel? That’s the kind of deal that makes you pause mid-scroll and say, “Wait… is this legit?”

Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to check it out. I wasn’t expecting Michelin-level extravagance, but I definitely wanted to see if this was truly a “value-for-money” experience or just clever marketing. Spoiler alert: it turned out to be one of the most pleasantly surprising dining experiences I’ve had in Kuala Lumpur.
