This coming Merdeka Celebration 2018; Ante Kitchen Bar is presenting the Nasi Kerabu featuring the Special Pork Rendang for lunch (11am to 3pm) daily from now until the end of August 2018 at both of its outlet in Publika & 1 Utama outlet.

As known to many; Nasi Kerabu is a Malaysian dish which is very popular especially from the East Coast States of Malaysia but at Ante Kitchen Bar, you will be presently surprised with its special rendition of this Malaysian dish for the Merdeka Celebration 2018.

ANTE version of the Nasi Kerabu (RM23.90+) main highlights is the Blue Pea Flower rice which uses the handpicked butterfly pea flowers. The flowers are then dried before being used as a natural colouring for the rice which is cooked with some fresh coconut cream to exudes extra rich flavour.

Next, the ANTE's Pork Rendang is cooked through using the traditional methods and then paired with other freshly made ingredients such as house-pickled acar, slow-cooked sambal, salted egg, Toasted Kerisik, four-angled bean, Keropok Ikan, long bean, bean sprout and topped with julienne Bunga Kantan to add colours and multitude of taste and presentation to this traditional dish.

As you celebrate the Merdeka, don't forget to indulge at some of the ANTE signature dishes such as the Crispy Miso Skin Pork Belly where slices of Ante's signature crispy skin pork belly are marinated with miso sauce and sake.

Followed by the Iberico Baby Ribs ( 500 gms ). This is a new addition to the ANTE starters menu; the ribs are slowed cooked for 4 hours, then cut per portion and coated with a spiced flour dredging. It is then tossed with a honey white soy glaze, crispy garlic, togarashi powder to give it an extra kick and fresh spring onions to balance the dish out.

While for the mains dish, don't miss out Ante crowd favourite Chermoula Spiced Shoulder Steak which is Ante's signature premier 450gm chargrilled pork shoulder with chermoula rub and served with a side serving of seasonal roasted vegetables & salsa verde sauce. Perfectly matched with a glass of wine.

If you would like to try something different then an order of the Creamy Polenta which is topped with candied house smoked bacon slices cooked in gula Melaka, with corn salsa, and served with fresh cherry tomatoes and spring onion slices can fill your stomach.

And to end your meal, you have an option for dessert starting with the Poached Pears; the snow pears are poached in Cabernet Sauvignon and served with white peach pastry cream, sable biscuits, macerated berries, Italian meringue, citrus gel served with 1 scoop of Lavender Honey gelato from Whimsical Publika.

Morganfield's Homes of Sticky Bones is an American casual dining restaurant. On first thought, you would think and believe it is an American brand. The truth is Morganfield's is actually a homegrown Malaysian brand that has expanded within the region now.

You can experience the full American decor of the 50's with the pipe in American blues music playing on the background while you dine with the authentic, old-fashioned, prime pork ribs slow-cooked and smoked to tender mouthwatering perfection.

Another prominent feature of the new menu at Morganfield's is the array of the porky-licious dishes that are served at all Morganfield's outlet and is a real plus point for pork eating fans.

First on the table is the Porky Salad (RM28.90 Nett). Served with 2 slabs of crunchy roasted pork belly cut into bite sizes, we literally finish all the pork belly in record time. The salad which consists of fresh greens, cucumber sticks, avocado, cherry tomatoes, almond flakes and sesame seeds is served with a spicy vinaigrette sauce on the side. A topping of fish crackers gives a different texture to this salad dish.

For those; not the health freaks that just wanted to enjoy the roasted pork belly without the salad can make an order of Roasted Pork Belly (RM22.90 Nett).

The next appetiser that came was the Mussels Kilpatrick (RM28.90 Nett). An order of this comes with 6 green mussels which were sauteed with smoked bacon and sweet and sour tomatoes sauce. This is then topped with cherry tomatoes which has a tangy taste is a good starter for a meal.

For those of you; that love Fried Chicken wings will love this dish which is called the Sticky Wings (RM22.90 Nett). There are 3 flavours for you to choose from which is Fiery Habanero (a little spicy), Golden Egg Crunch (salted eggs flavour) and Honey Soy (salty sweet taste).

For the soup, we ordered the Seafood Chowder (RM16.90 Nett). You can find a combination of seafood, corn kernels, potatoes, seaweed (yes, this is the one that makes this seafood chowder a little unique) and carrots. It is then topped with croutons to fill up your stomach.

Sizzling Rib Eye @Morganfield's New Menu 2018 Pavilion KL

Besides pork dishes; you can order the Sizzling Rib Eye (RM 69.90 Nett). The rib-eye steak is grilled to your preferred doneness and layered with the mushroom gravy. The steak is served in a sizzling pan with caramelized onions, mashed potatoes, sliced Eryngii mushroom and garden vegetables.

Citrus Mojito Baby Back @Morganfield's New Menu 2018 Pavilion KL

You can't leave Morganfield's without tasting its pork ribs; here is a new item on the menu which is Citrus Mojito Baby Back (RM 69.90 Nett). The ribs are marinated in apple flavours which is slow cooked in the oven and grilled to a nice char and topped with diced apples. You can order 2 sides dish to goes with your ribs. We like the fork-tender texture of the pork ribs meat as it needed little effort to eat it.

We choose another ribs dish, but this is a combination platter which is called the Captain's Catch (RM102.90 Nett). Besides the main feature a half rack of ribs which you can choose the flavours (Hickory BBQ, Garlicky BBQ, Asian Charred or Rib Rub) This platter also comes with a Beer Battered White Perch fillet and 2 piece of sausages which is Spicy Devil sausage and Herby Hog sausage which let you taste the different type of flavour.

Southwest Chicken BLT  @Morganfield's New Menu 2018 Pavilion KL

If you still have stomach after eating all the pork ribs and started, you might want to taste this sinfully Southwest Chicken BLT (RM 32.90 Nett).  This burger consists of a deep-fried boneless chicken thigh which is marinated with a special seasoning and topped with fried pork bacon strips with honey chilli mustard. The burger is served with French Fries and Coleslaw at the side,

Smokin Duck Pasta @Morganfield's New Menu 2018 Pavilion KL

Finally, if there are still rooms left in the stomach,  or on your cheat day; an order of the Smokin Duck Pasta (RM 29.90 Nett) can certainly complete your meal. Not only is this pasta laden with slices of smoked duck meat; you will find that there is little tiny crispy fried pork lard in between the pasta that makes this dish extra flavourful.

Oktoberfest 2017 at Brotzeit Sunway Pyramid

If you love beer and having a good time, one of the best things about the month of October is Oktoberfest, right? This year Brotzeit Sunway and Mid Valley will be having its very own version, and you really don’t want to miss out.

Oktoberfest is here again and you know what that means – it’s time to relax and enjoy yourself. The siren call of Bavarian weisswurst and beer awaits, but before you hurry off to the usual spots in your best blue and white outfit, a major Oktoberfest blowout is bubbling up at Brotzeit Sunway and Mid Valley.

Naughty Nuri's Free Ribs on Monday - Yes it is FREE.

I don't know about you but I am really crazy over Naughty Nuri Ribs and now getting it for FREE is really something to look forward to. Want to know more about it then read on here and your Monday will be never be the same again.

What You Need To Do

Every Monday from 23rd May 2016 to 20th June 2016; Naughty Nuri's will be giving out 30 FREE ribs  at all their outlets at Desa Sri Hartamas, Subang The Courtyard and their newly opened restaurant, KL Life Centre.

All you have to do is just queue in the line from 1 p.m. onwards and the 1st 30 participants will receive a coupon each at 1.30 p.m. to redeem the ribs for FREE.

All the 30 participants MUST then dine-in and finish the ribs on the spot or else; a penalty will be imposed if the ribs is not finished.

To avoid wastage, a penalty of 100 gm will be charge at RM20.00.

Participants are required to snap a picture and upload with #freeribsmonday. A video will be recorded in real time. So, start taking nice pictures with the ribs. The best 3 pictures and the most number of likes get to dine in for free after the campaign.
