With a scenic view; you can also dine at the outdoor balcony area where you will be rewarded with a breezy and nice backdrop of the KL skyline from afar especially in the late evening.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Saku Sai Gai

Our first dish is the Sago based appetiser Saku Sai Gai (RM 22.00). The filling is a minced chicken cooked in a special sauce. This dessert resembles the Chinese Sesame Balls but instead of deep frying it is steamed. It is best eaten hot as it tends to be chewier as its gets colder.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Thai Pandan Leaf Chicken

Followed by the Thai Pandan Leaf Chicken Gai Hor Dai Toey (RM 22 For 4 pcs). We like the frying style as it is not over fried, this gives a pandan enhanced flavoured with a nice soft crisp while the chicken meat which is already flavoured is succulent and tender.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Seafood Thai Tom Yam Kung

We can't miss the next dish which is the Seafood Tom Yam Kung, Chef has a special skill that makes this soup very authentic in terms of the flavours with the right balance of spicy and sour level which get us going for the second and the third until the last drop.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Thai Style Steamed Fish

Another signature dish of the Chef is the Steamed Sea Bass (Siakap) Thai Style. Using simple condiments such as lime, chopped garlic, coriander root and birds eye chilli to make the sauce and garnished with coriander leaves and scallions; this dish left us spellbound. Coupled with the fresh meat texture, it was a real delight to taste this dish.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Pineapple Fried Rice

Our order of rice is the Kao Pad Sapparod Pineapple Fried Rice with Seafood & Chicken Floss (RM 27.00). Nicely decorated in the pineapple shell, it looks really good. The fried rice has a lot of little chunks of fresh pineapple to give you that natural sweet sourish taste to the rice.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Pan Fried Tenderloin Beef served with Kway Teow

Besides offering some of the authentic Thai dishes, Chef Seeri which has a vast experience has concocted some new fusion dishes, this time, for us to sample on. He decided to implore some Japanese fusion into the Udon Pad Prik Gung Nam Yead Spicy Braised Udon Noodle with Seafood (RM 38.00). The springy texture of the udon was fried with the special Thai sauce and perfectly paired with the bouncy firm texture of the prawns, squid and mussels.

And the next dish is infused with some Western influence, which is the Pad Neau San Hua Kap Kway Teow aka. Pan Fried Tenderloin Beef served with Kway Teow (RM 28.00). We like the texture of the tenderloin beef as its' meat which is pan fried was coated with a nice sauce while the meat was very tender and juicy.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Sangkaya Phek Pumpkin Egg Custard

2 Special Thai Dessert are set for us to taste; the first of which is the Sangkaya Phek Pumpkin Egg Custard (RM 15.00). The pumpkin is first steamed to a soft creamy texture and moulded in. It is then topped with thick coconut cream that gives it a Sangkaya flavoured.

Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant Putrajaya Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Sangkaya Phek Yam Egg Custard

and the last one is the  Sangkaya Phek Yam Egg Custard (RM 15.00). Similar to the Pumpkin but the change is the Yam filling. For the Yam, it should be eaten when it is still hot as it gets harden once it comes to room temperature.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Interior

Unlike most other Thai restaurants; upon entering Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant; you might have mistaken that you are entering a cafe instead. This is because the owner would like to set a new trend for its customer to enjoy these dishes in a modern and comfortable setting.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Thai Food

So, how authentic these Thai dishes will turn out to be; we were told that all the Chef is from Thailand and most of the ingredients and condiments used to cook these dishes are specially sourced from Thailand too.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Fried Donuts Prawns

To start off our review, we had a few Thai appetiser which the first is theTod Man Gong Signature Fried Donut Prawns (RM18.90). We understand that the prawn is cut into little pieces and mix with the fish paste and then coated with a special batter before it is sent for deep frying. The result, you get a crisp skin while the paste has a firm texture which we like. Best eaten with the Thai Chillies sauce.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Thai Prawns Pancake

Next is the Gong Ga Bang Thai Prawns Pancake (RM18.90). The filling of the prawn fish paste is spread onto the pancake roll and sent for deep frying. Like this too.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Thai Roasted Pork

The last starter that we had is the Thai Roasted Pork (RM21.90). It is quite different from the Chinese Roast Pork (Siew York) in that the whole piece of pork are deep fried to a crisp much like a fried chicken.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Seafood Tom Yum Pot
Seafood Tom Yum Pot 3-5 pax RM158.00
The main highlight of the Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi has to be the Pim's Super Seafood Tom Yum Pot (3-5 pax) RM158.00 consists of Crayfish, Tiger Prawns, Prawns, Hokkaido Squid, Duck Eggs, Mushrooms, Fishballs, Scallops, Thai Instant Noodles topped ith a fresh egg and Pim's Tom Yum Kung. We love the flavourful broth and it marries well with the abundance of seafood that is used to cooked this Tom Yam.

One of the interesting thing about this dish is that there are instant noodles which are added to the broth. Apparently, this cooking method is quite popular in Thailand too. It was a first encounter for us to eat this style. Nevertheless for instant noodles fans; you will surely love it. Also for the soup, you can get Free Refill to your heart's content. We were told that the soup is not pre-made in a bulk but on-demand basis; so that you can really get to taste it as freshly made as possible.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Stir Fried Sotong In Salted Eggs

The next mains that we had the Pa Meng Pad Kai Kem Stir Fried Sotong In Salted Eggs (RM22.50). Like the fresh bouncy white squid. The salted eggs sauce that is used to cooked has a tinge of sweet taste.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Deep Fried Cray Fish

While the last mains is the Kang Tod Ka Tiam Deep Fried Crayfish With Garlic (RM39.00). This dish is a little bland for us, but will be great eaten with a glass of cold beer as an add-on.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Pad Thai Noodles

If you still have stomach room after all those seafood, you can try out the Pad Thai Noodles (RM18.90) too.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Jelly In Coconut

For desserts, we had Jelly in Coconut (RM7.90). It is a nice and cooling end to our review, We love the natural coconut taste of the jelly.

Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Spring Rolls

Now, you have another option of some real Thai food at Pim's Thai Seafood Restaurant Bukit Tinggi Klang.

Sanoook Thai Japanese Restaurant Sunway Pyramid West - Fusion Thai Japanese Cuisine

Fans of Thai and Japanese Food can take heed on this newly open Sanoook Thai-Japanese Restaurant Sunway Pyramid located at Lot 4 Ground Floor Sunway Pyramid Hotel West Bandar Sunway 47500 Subang Jaya Selangor.

Sanook which means 'Fun" in the Thai language sets the tone and theme for this restaurant.  To go one step further they have added an extra 'O' to the Sanook word which to them means 'Friendship'. In short, it means having fun with friends.

As a new sibling from the popular Thai food group i.e Chakri Palace Group, set the tone for the Thai Chef based on his secret recipe to craft out new fusion Thai food dishes with Japanese creative culture and presentation. This will set the tone for all its current and future dishes that will be featured at Sanoook Thai-Japanese Restaurant.

Ordering for your food at Sanoook Thai Japanese Restaurant Sunway Pyramid is using an interactive menu where at every table there is a tablet that lets you self order your drinks & dishes and even gets you your bills. No need to hello here and hello there anymore.

Our review started off with the 4 Season Platter (RM 37.90). A nice snack to start off a meal which has 4 different type of snacks which is the Crispy Calamari, Salmon Cream Croquette, Vegetarian Spring Rolls and the tasty Thai Fish Cake with Thai Chicken Ball. The snack was fried to a deep crisp and came with several sauce for dipping.

The next dish is the Sanoook Salad Japanese Cucumber Wrapped With Salmon, Avocado & Baked Apple (RM 29.90). A very refreshing salad to whet your appetite as the salad was filled with a combination of fresh tomatoes, leafy greens, avocado, baked apples, rolled salmon and dashes of sesame mayo sauce.

You can't miss out on the next dish which is Tom Yum Soup With River Prawn (RM 23.90), a signature dish at Chakri Palace. At Sanoook Thai-Japanese Restaurant Sunway Pyramid; the way to serve this soup came with a Japanese twist which the soup is served in sake bottle instead.

This is then followed by the Pan Fried Tuna Steak With Spinach & Mixed Mushroom Served With Teriyaki Sauce (RM 28.90).

For BBQ fans, Sanoook Thai-Japanese Restaurant Sunway Pyramid serves a few different set skewers; the first of which is that we tasted is the Salmon Belly Skewer With Lime Chili Sauce (RM 77.90). Loves the melting fats of the salmon belly which were matched with a tinge of  Lime sauce.

The second skewers set is the Chicken Skewer With Massaman Sauce (RM 32.90). Masaman sauce is a Thai concoction of onions, coconut milk, peanuts, and chilies. Much like the taste of a mild satay sauce.

For non-meat eaters, you can opt for the Vege Skewers set (Tomato, Corn, Zucchini, Capsicum, leek) With Sanoook Sauce (RM 28.90).

At Sanoook Thai-Japanese Restaurant Sunway Pyramid, as a Japanese fusion setup, they do offers a few varieties of sushi, the first of which that we tried is the Soft Shell Crab With Thai Mango Chili Sauce Sushi (RM 34.90).

or if you like it with a spicy treats, you can opt for the Tuna With Tom Yum Sauce Sushi (RM 27.90).

or the multi coloured Sanoook's Rainbow with Sesame Sauce  (RM19.90) - A very special sushi with a multitude of colour ingredients forming the rainbow colours.

Also lastly, one of the other special fusion dish that you probably can't find elsewhere is the Chicken Burger With Teriyaki Sauce (RM 17.90). The bun has been replaced with the compact rice which is shaped as a bun and topped with a seaweed sheet.

For desserts, we like the Fresh Durian Ice-Cream With Coconut Milk (RM 21.90). The Durian flesh makes it a real wonders and was perfectly matched with Vanilla ice cream intercepted with the creamy coconut milk. We really like the combination that makes this dessert; a cold and sweet end to one's meal.

The last dessert is the Thai Volcano (RM 18.90). Quite similar to the Malaysian ABC but with a slight variation in the ice shaving. Instead of the normal ice, the shaving is from a milk tea ice.  The end result is similar to having an ABC with Teh Tarik.

For health enthusiast, Sanoook Thai-Japanese Restaurant Sunway Pyramid offers a Salad Jaar Takeaway which comes in 4 flavours i.e A Full Feeling Soba (RM12.90), Orchard Muesli (RM12.90), All-Rounder Kick Boxer (RM14.90) and Omega Goodness (RM14.90).

BBQ Thai - Thai Street Food Restaurant - Old Klang Road - New Thai Dish Review

I am sure, that many folks who stayed around Old Klang Road, will definitely know or come across the BBQ Thai Street Food Restaurant located at 17, Lorong Jugra, Off Batu 3 1/4 Jalan Klang Lama 58000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which has been around for more than 3 years serving delicious Thai dishes.

+BestRestaurant ToEat  was invited to try out some of the specialities and latest dishes that are offered at the BBQ Thai Restaurant.

If you have visited this restaurant, you would probably know, that the BBQ Thai Restaurant has a unique theme where there are 9 specially built air condition theme dining rooms for you to enjoy your meals in.

On a cool night, you might want to dine at the open area on the centre court for a more relaxing and natural dining experience.

To start off our dinner review, we were served the traditional Papaya Salad (RM15.00) which has a crunchy feel from the raw papaya and a slight sourish taste with a topping of roasted peanuts; indeed a refreshing start for our review.

For the main dishes, we started with a special Steam Squid In Thai Lemon Sauce (RM38.00). Normally, the steam fish would be a standard option for the preparation style of this dish; but we were recommended to try out the White Squid which is one of my favourite seafood too. We love the taste of the broth and the firm bouncy texture of the white squid. Served on top of a Charcoal burner, which leaves the broth piping hot; was wonderfully done with the right balance of spiciness and sourish taste.

Next, we had a dish that you will normally find from the streets of Thailand, which is the Thai Fried Kang Kung (RM15.00). The Kang Kung is first coated with a special batter that will leave a very crispy texture after the deep frying. This dish is served with a special Thai Dip sauce.

For me; you can't complete a Thai meal without ordering the Thai Tom Yam soup. Ours was the Tom Yam With Fresh Water Prawns (market price) which also comes with other seafood like the white squid, mussels, and oyster mushroom. The version that is served here has a slight milky base with a distinctive aroma and flavours of lemongrass. The spicy level was just right for us too.

Next, we also had the opportunity to try out some of the new dishes which the first is the Thai Style Fried Chicken With 3 Sauce (RM35.00).

Followed by another soup dish; this time, it is the Thai Style Pork Ribs Spicy Sour Soup (RM48.00). The taste of this soup is quite similar to the Mamak Mutton Soup which is spice and herbs based but the main ingredient here is the pork ribs with a slight sourish taste.

and the last main dish from the new menu is the Thai Style Lemon Fried Fish (Seasonal Price). We like this dish as the fish was perfectly fried to a deep crisp and topped with a special lemon sauce which has a tangy taste that is wrapped thoroughly around the fish meat.

As the name of the Restaurant goes by, we definitely must try out the Thai BBQ dishes. To ensure we get to taste a little of everything, we had the Thai BBQ Platter (RM58.00); which comprises of the Thai BBQ Pork Neck - my personal favourite one of the better cut for BBQ, Thai BBQ Squid, Thai BBQ Chicken Wings and Thai BBQ Prawns.

Next, we had a special plate of Thai BBQ Pork Spare Ribs. The Ribs are marinated and BBQ over charcoal to get it the right charred taste; with a fork tender meat texture and topped with a special BBQ sauce.

For Cockles aficionados, you can order the Thai BBQ Kerang (RM15.00) which is also served with the Thai special sauce, unlike the Malaysian style which we will normally eat with sambal belacan.

To wrap up the BBQ dishes, we had the Thai BBQ Butter Crab (seasonal price).

There is a number of dessert offering from the restaurant. For those of you who would like to taste some traditional desserts which the Thai eats can order the Desserts Platter (RM38.00) which has the cute looking Loob Choob which essentially is miniature vegetables and fruits with mung beans filling, The platter also comes with Foi Thong "golden threads" desserts of strings of egg yolk boiled in sugar syrup. The third dessert is the Amara /Khanom Man which is Cassava Cake With Coconut and the last one is the Thai Rice Cake With Special Sauce. You can also order these desserts individually.

The other dessert which is more commonly ordered from Thai Restaurant is the Thai Style Water Chestnut (RM7.00)

and the Thai Style Cendol (RM7.00). A nice little treat; after all the spicy and hearty dishes to cool down our body.

All in, as the Chef which are mainly Thai, does cook out a remarkable spread which we truly enjoyed. We also had the opportunity to savour some of their specialities dishes and the new dishes that are offered by BBQ Thai - Thai Street Food Restaurant - Old Klang Road. By the way, we got to know that the restaurant is now open for lunch too. So, you can head over to get your favourite Tom Yam and other delicious Thai dishes at the restaurant.
