The chef uses a tool which has a nicknamed of a guitar from which the name Chitarra is derived. The spaghetti is then cooked within a brown sauce together with the cube porcini mushroom as the sauce is absorbed into the spaghetti.

For the main course, we had the Guancia Iberica Al Montepulciano Con Verdure Al Vapore. It is actually an Iberica Pork Jowl which is braised in red wine sauce and is served with steamed vegetables. The braising was done to perfection as the meat texture is fork tender and literally melt in the mouth.

For desserts, we had the Tiramisu which is a classic Italian dessert of coffee flavoured ladyfingers with mascarpone cheese and crunchy chocolate.

Anchor has once again proved why they are the reigning leaders in the dairy food services segment, Anchor Food Professionals has just launched an exciting campaign with their partners, and this time with a creation that Malaysians can’t resist – Pizza!

Linda Tan, Director of Anchor Food Professionals (Fourth from left) accompanied by Anchor Food Professionals’ Hot Cooking Chef; Chef Alex (Second from left) and Chef Noorfiruz (Third from left) presenting the five artisanal PizzArts which are the Pizza Bomb, Adjaruli Khachapuri, Mini Muffin Pizza, Pot Pie Pizza and the Flower Pizza.

Celebrating pizza in all its shapes and sizes, the new campaign called “PizzArt” takes the enjoyment of pizza a notch up into an art form. Whether you’re a hard-core foodie or a discerning gourmand, these pizzas will set your taste bud drooling especially for cheese lovers.

Together with 25 outlets in Peninsula and East Malaysia, Anchor Food Professionals will be introducing artisanal pizzas that are taking the world by storm. Masterpieces such as Flower Pizzas, Pizza Bombs, Adjaruli Khachapuri, Mini Muffin Pizzas and Pot Pie Pizzas are waiting to be devoured at participating restaurants from May to mid-November 2017.

Anchor Food Professionals’ Hot Cooking Chef; Chef Alex and Chef Noorfiruz demonstrating the skills needed to create the range of PizzArts during Anchor Food Professionals’ PizzArt Campaign launch.

The artisanal pizzas were conceptualised and created by the Anchor Food Professionals’ Hot Cooking Chefs as a way to help their partners create more excitement and variety in what they offer to their customers.

The flower pizza is a fun and pretty piece of PizzArt. Each petal is peeled off individually to be enjoyed with loved ones.

The pizzas can only be made by kitchen crew with advanced culinary skills, and in restaurants with pizza ovens. Chefs and assistants from participating restaurants were trained in the ways of a skilled pizzaiolo by Anchor Food Professional in preparation for the launch of the campaign. Through workshops, they were taught specialised skills to create unusual pizzas such as the avant-garde Pizza Flower.
The range of Anchor Food Professionals’ products that are fully imported from New Zealand, used to prepare the artisanal PizzArts.

The recipes call for only the finest ingredients such as Anchor Mozzarella Cheese, Anchor Butter, Anchor Culinary Creams and Anchor Cream Cheese. In Malaysia, the Anchor brand is already a leader in the dairy segment. When you dine in a restaurant, a hotel, or a quick service restaurant (QSR), chances are you are already having a taste of Fonterra’s dairy products through Anchor.

Speaking at the unveiling of the PizzArt campaign in Kuala Lumpur, Ms Linda Tan, Director of Anchor Food Professionals Malaysia said that the new campaign will strike a chord with pizza-loving Malaysians.

Linda Tan, Director of Anchor Food Professionals showcases the artisanal Flower Pizza and the range of Anchor Products used to prepare it for the launch of Anchor Food Professionals’ PizzArt Campaign launch.

“Malaysians are increasingly leading busier lifestyles and are grabbing food on the go or dining out. Our insights show us that Malaysians generally love pizzas. We wanted to excite them further by taking the enjoyment of pizza a level up by introducing extraordinary, gourmet pizzas that are taking the world by storm. If you love pizzas, then this is a must try,” Ms Tan said.

The Adjaruli Khachapuri is an exotic type of pizza originating from Greece. It’s stuffed with 3 different kinds of cheese and topped with butter and an egg. To enjoy, the melted cheese is mixed together with the butter and egg before dipping the crust into the cheese. This pizza is perfect to be shared with a group of friends especially during the upcoming Ramadan season

She added that this is an example of innovative campaigns that Anchor Food Professionals has launched with their partners such as the highly successful Say Cheese Campaign which introduced Japanese-inspired cheese based desserts, and the second wave which introduced sweet bread infused with creams and cheese. The more recent French-inspired Travel Cakes (butter loaf cakes) made available at participating bakeries ended on a sweet note as well.

“We are continuously finding ways to help our partners stay ahead of the curve by introducing global trends and unique creations to their consumers using only the best dairy by Anchor. By drawing on our New Zealand-based research and expertise, we are able to help them achieve a competitive edge,” she added.

The Pizza Bomb is coated with a mixture of melted herb butter, bursting with gooey cheese when torn open and perfect to be enjoyed with a dip.

With the new launch of PizzArt, Anchor Food Professional hopes to trail blaze a ‘new age’ of pizzas in Malaysia. Pizza bombs which made an appearance on the international food scene is an explosion of flavour and cheesiness in a ball of chewy dough with a crispy crust. Adjaruli Khachapuri is a boat-shaped pizza filled with hot cheese and oozing egg and is a Georgian invention, all the rage in food capitals of the world. Muffin pizzas are bite-sized versions of delicious pizza and perfect for breakfast and as snacks and pot pie pizzas are as hearty and satisfying as they sound with pizza dough used as a pie crust with all the flavours and stringy cheesiness of a pizza steaming inside.

The Mini Muffin Pizza is jam-packed with cheesy flavours in small muffin sizes; this makes it perfect to be enjoyed on the go.

Consumers can also look forward to participating in some fun contests on Anchor’s Facebook @AnchorDairyMalaysia in the month of July to win exciting prizes.

The Pot Pie Pizza is a very rustic masterpiece that requires the filling and cheese to be placed in a ramekin or a ceramic bowl, baked until golden brown & then flipped over to be enjoyed with family and friends.

The artisanal pizzas will be available at Movida and U Pizzeria in Klang Valley, Movida and U Pizzeria in Perak, US Pizza and Lunarich in Penang, Sky Garden in Kedah, Movida in Melaka and Johor, Ejohng Concept in Johor, The Chub’s Grill and Mad Ben in Sabah and Chillax, Coup De Grill and Bistecca in Sarawak from May to mid-November 2017.

Italian Restaurant Kuala Lumpur Via Pre KUL Bukit Damansara Affordable Authentic Italian Cuisine

Fans of Italian Cuisine, you can take note, that there is a new Italian Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur Via Pre KUL located in the quiet neighbourhood of Bukit Damansara.

Via Pre KUL Address
25, Lorong Setiabistari 2
Bukit Damansara
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Via Pre which stands for Jalan Pre in Italian is the name of a road in Genova Italy. Their Penang Restaurant Via Pre Penang has been operating for more than 3 years now.

The owner has decided to start the KL branch to serves affordable and authentic Italian cuisines to folks in Kuala Lumpur. By the way, Via Pre KUL is a pork free restaurant.

Its root can be traced to the co-founder of the popular Italian Restaurant which is Neroteca. All the menus are scrutinized by him to ensure that you will be able to enjoy an authentic Italian taste.

To ensure the authenticity of the dishes, almost all the ingredients used in the restaurant are imported especially from Italy, up to the flour that is used to bake the bread while the pizza flour which hails from Napoli are fully imported and freshly made on a daily basis.

Our review started with a starter which is Bresaola (RM29.00). The Air dry beef loin which has a slight salty taste is used to wrapped the fresh mozzarella cheese and then served with button mushroom pikes, with a light touch of Evo oil and fine balsamic dressing making the right blend of texture and taste to this appetizer.

Sri Hartamas Food - Pepelicious Restaurant @ Galeria Hartamas

Tired and bored on standard Italian dishes, now you can get some variety of Italian food with a fusion twist at Pepelicious Restaurant @Sri Hartamas.

Pepelicious Restaurant Address
B-G-10, Galeria Hartamas, 21,
Jalan 26a/70a,
Desa Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur

Stemming from the love of Italian food, its owners have decided to invoke their creative side to bring forth an intriguing and extraordinary taste to its customers in the bustling Sri Hartamas neighbourhood.

At Pepelicious the decor is one of a modern design with a bar for you to chill over the stressful day. It is also a really nice place where you can dine in a quiet and quaint setting with families, friends and associates.

Our dinner started with an order of the appetiser which is Nachos Parmi (RM16.90). We like the slightly sourish vegetarian based sauce which is cooked with Capsicum, Mushroom with Parmigiana sauce. The enclosed nachos are topped with melted Mozzarella Cheese. These nacho are a real treat to whet our appetite for the forthcoming dishes.

Next on the table is our salad; which is the Grilled Chicken Miso Salad (RM19.90). A simple salad that consists of Grilled Chicken with fresh Romaine Lettuce, Red Coral, Wild Rocket, Red Onion Rings and Cherry Tomatoes topped with a Poached Eggs and a special homemade Miso sauce.

Malaysian just loves their salted eggs and with that, Pepelicious Restaurant has curated a Pizza which has its main ingredient of this Malaysian favourite which is called the Fungo Mumbo (RM18.90). Cut mushroom is cooked in rich creamy salted eggs sauce and then topped with capsicum and sprinkles of indulgent salted eggs yolk to satisfy your cravings.

For those that loves a little spiciness; can taste out the Spicy Hot Chixx (RM17.90). It is minced chicken which is cooked in a fragrant spicy sauce and bedded with a creamy white sauce. Naan bread is used as the base for all its Pizza at Pepelicious Restaurant.

Our next main dish is the Yummylicious Chicken (RM27.90). The chicken chop was tender on the inside and well-marinated with a tinge of saltiness; while having a nice deep fried golden brown skin which is then topped with a generous amount of Spicy Peach Salsa and bedded with potato salad.

As Malaysian, Nasi Lemak is the favourite dish to many, but have you ever tried using Risotto as the rice for Nasi Lemak. Here at Pepelicious Restaurant; you get a chance to try this out with their Nasi Lemak Gone Italian (RM28.90). When the pot arrives, we can smell the flavorful aroma of the Santan. This Risotto based Nasi Lemak came with a serving of Anchovies Sambal and Deviled Beef Meat topped with deep fried Silver Tail anchovies. A real change from the norm for the Nasi Lemak freaks.

After all the mains dishes, it is time for dessert. We had 2 desserts for the night, the first of which is the Choc Infused (RM14.90) - a chocolate Lava cake served with a scoop of Vanilla ice-cream. Loves the smooth Lava flow and the strong chocolatey taste of the desserts. As this are in-house made, there is a limited quantity that is available for each day.

Our last dessert is the Bailey Parfait (RM17.90) - another in-house made limited quantity dessert. Nice cream parfait which is infused with Bailey's and is layered in a nice serving glass. Layered in between are chocolate sauce and layers of crush Oreo to make a sweet ending to our dinner.

So, if you are one that like, to explore on some new taste of food, Pepelicious Restaurant definitely will satisfy your craving for it with the fusion enhanced dishes that they served.
