There is a new restaurant in Plaza Damansara that was opened recently that serves Italian Food. Best Restaurant To Eat was invited to review their new Breakfast menu at Neroteca at 17-15, Jalan Medan Setia 1, Plaza Damansara, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur.

Now, especially on weekend you do not have to cramp yourself for breakfast like in Bangsar. At Neroteca; parking is a breeze and aplenty during the weekend where you can leisurely enjoy a breakfast with your families or friends for breakfast in this luxurious setting of the restaurant.

Like the saying goes Eat Breakfast Like a King; and with that our review started off with a new Big Breakfast set which is indulge with pork offering. This Big Breakfast set consists of Two Eggs with Smoked Pancetta, Streaky Bacon, Italian Sausages, Sauteed Sweet Potatoes, Mushrooms, Baked tomato, Refried Beans & House Toast.

Caffeinated Cafe@ Puchong IOI Boulevard - Sipping Specialties Coffee With Caffeine Infused Dishes Review By Best Restaurant

Specialties coffee outlet are sprouting out in great numbers these days. More and more people are in love with these coffee and Best Restaurant To Eat was invited to preview Caffeinated @ Puchong IOI Boulevard located at C-GF-43, Ground Floor IOI Boulevard, Jalan Kenari 5, Bandar Puchong Jaya 47170 Puchong Selangor.

The decor at Caffeinated Cafe @ Puchong IOI Boulevard is one of a no frill modern neighbourhood cafe setting.

Since it is located in the IOI Boulevard covered foyer, you can also dine al-fresco minus the natural element like rain, flume and dust usually associated with other outdoor dining place.

The coffee blend serves at Caffeinated Cafe @ Puchong IOI Boulevard comes from Brazil, Columbia, Sumatra and Mexico.

What differentiate Caffeinated Cafe @ Puchong IOI Boulevard is that; it gives coffee a new twist with a different concoction like adding and mixing liquor to the coffee. A unique and new way to savour coffee.

The question is whether you are gamed for it. The first coffee that was served to us is the Martini Espresso. It is concocted with a blend of ice-shaken concoction of KahLua, Vodka, Espresso.

Next, we had the Bailey's Tiramisu; a concoction of mascarpone cheese, fresh milk, espresso with Baileys' Irish Cream. We usually eat Tiramisu cake with our favorite coffee, but this drinks bring forth an exquisite Tiramisu taste in a drink mix with espresso much like the taste of having a coffee after a bite of the Tiramisu cake with a light liqour taste.

This is then followed by Lemon Grass Heineken; A very refreshing and cooling drink from the use of the Lemon Grass. It tasted a little stronger than Shandy as the amount of beer used in this drink is much higher proportion and the aroma and taste of the fresh lemon grass gives it a special twist.

Another unique drink serves here is the Orange Black; which is a combination of Orange juice and espresso.

After which is the Dark Chocolate Float; which has a strong flavour of Chocolate taste which blended very well with the Kapiti ice cream. The decor of it was very interesting too from the use of the Oreo biscuit (for the ear) and coffee bean(for the eyes) to decorate it to resemble; an Android.

Last of the drink is the Affogato; The espresso was just right and blended with the smooth Pohutukawa Honey Kapiti Ice cream to gives it a slightly sweeter taste to the Espresso.

We were then served with some specialty food serves at Caffeinated Cafe @ Puchong IOI Boulevard which; the first was the Carbonara with Mushroom. The generous portion of the mushroom used were the shimeiji, shitake and button mushroom.

The heavy cream sauce with egg yolk, onion garlic, basil and white wine was thick and this makes the dish very rich in flavours as the taste of the mushroom and Parmesan cheese was ingrained into each strip of spaghetti.

This is then followed by the Mushroom Pizza which was served with a thin crust; The right balance of sauce base used and the timing of the baking was nice as you can taste the crisp while still enjoying the simple mushroom flavours topping.

Another crowd favourite at Caffeinated is the under the Breakfast Menu which is the Mushroom With White Sauce.

The mushroom white sauce are best eaten with the accompaniment of the crunchy muesli toast.

Next, we were served the specially created espresso infused dish which is Coffee Pomodoro with Smoked Duck. The pasta was cooked with minced chicken on a tomato Pomodoro sauce and before panning it out;  a single shot of espresso was added to the pasta to gives it a special caffeine flavour.

This dish has its uniqueness in that you either like it or hate it as the strong espresso flavours can be a turn off especially for light coffee drinker.

The next dish is the German Sausage Baguette; the use of the meatier and crunchy premium Thuringer German sausage stand out on this dish. With a sesame dressing and cheddar cheese garnished with cucumber, red and green coral on a wasabi mayo dressing to top it off with a wholemeal baguette.

At Caffeinated Cafe, dinner comes special with a sharing platter called the UNDER THE SEA platter. It is a platter that consist of seafood with premium sausages.

A scrumptious platter with juicy seafood i.e. Dory fish, squid and prawns together with Foot-long, German sausage and Spicy French sausage, Aglio Olio spaghetti, fries, grilled sweet corn, tomato, sesame dressing salad and crispy nachos for extra bites.

For coffee lovers, at Caffeinated Cafe @ Puchong IOI Boulevard, you can get to savour coffee in a different light where you can experience and taste coffee like never before. You can check out their Caffeinated Cafe facebook page here.

It is a fantastic Italian Japanese fusion that marries the fresh raw tuna (french style), avocado and tsukini pieces mix with tosa soy and served wasabi, aioli, masago (flying fish roe) ginger pickle, and togarashi crips add a dimension to tingle your tastebud. You get an explosion of flavours in your mouth.

Comes with fresh garden salad and baked beans with melted mozzarella cheese topping.

and the Volcano Surprise which came with Chicken Bolognese on top of the Porto Bello Mushroom, a choice of turkey ham or streaky beef. With the addition of a sunny side up and hash brown and fresh garden salad to finish it up.

Just look at the thick Porto Bello mushroom sitting at the base; makes you salivating for this super breakfast meal.

For the main, the introduction of Lamb dishes is a welcome change, as yours truly loves lamb especially the Lamb Shanks. It was cooked with a very strong herbs and lamb essence flavour.

Followed by the Lamb rack which was superbly grilled to perfection while retaining its juicy succulent and tender meat served on a bed of mashed potatoes and sauteed mushroom. It comes with a light minty cream yoghurt sauce which blend well with the grill meat.

We also did tried one of the beef dishes which was the Braised Beef Bourgouignone - a French braised hearty stew cooked with radish, carrot and potatoes. The sauce was a perfect match with the soft toasted wholemeal bread.

Fried Buffalo Wings - a super crispy fried drummet with a strong tinge of spiciness from the

One of the new drinks offering was the Cucumber Mojito which was super refreshing and as I was having a minor sore throat, this drink which was infused with freshly mint leaves, was just the perfect concoction to sooth my dry throat.

If mushroom is your cup of tea, Porto Bello Restaurant at Damansara Uptown will be a good choice for you; more so with the new menu offering

BITES CAFE @Lakefields Sungei Besi - Breakfast, Breakfast and Breakfast Review

Breakfast is one of the most important meal of the day. With that in mind, Best Restaurant To Eat was invited for a breakfast menu review at the Bites Café located at 72, Jalan Tasik Utama 7, Lake Fields Sungei Besi, 57000 Kuala Lumpur.

Bites Café décor is one of a casual hip café setting, with artistically decorated posters lining up on all its walls with comfortable seating and friendly environment.

The emphasis at Bites Café @ Lake Fields Sungei Besi is on the an all day breakfast menu, ranging from Mexican, Italian and all the way to Malaysian breakfast with a special twist on some of its varieties.

There is also a childrens' corner where little kids can play while you can sip your cuppa of your favourite coffee while enjoying a nice breakfast here.

EGG BENEDICT was the first dish on the table for us to review. The serving comes with a runny flowing egg, Smoked Salmon, a little of the sautéed spinach, Hollandaise sauce, toast and some fresh salad.

Next, was THE FRENCH breakfast which is a French toast with chicken ham, melted cheese, maple syrup & topped with sunny side up. The toast was perfectly toasted to give it that light fluffy crunch.

This was followed by the BREAKFAST PIZZA – a serving of Beef Bacon, Egg, Baby Spinach, Mushroom, Baked Beans and topped with some sprinkle of Cheese – The ingredients are found mostly in the Big Breakfast set but here it is served on a thin crust crispy pizza dough.

and then, THE ITALIAN BREAKFAST - Frittata with turkey ham, onions, spinach, cherry tomato, eggs. A fabulous, exceptional and a thick layer of soft scrambled eggs (4 eggs to make this) made this dish a delight to be eaten.  The choice of ingredient used were very complimentary. This dish is specially for eggs lovers.

THE MEXICAN is wrap in a burritos, came with a topping of tangy home made sauce. It is a breakfast burritos with tortilla, chicken sausage, egg, mushroom, cheese.

CLUB SANDWICH WAFFLE– The freshly made flaky and crisp waffles used here are the type of thin crusted instead of the meaty thick type which is a better choice. Sandwiched in between the waffles, are the beef bacon, scrambled egg, fresh strip of lettuce, cheese and tartar sauce .

Next, we had the GRILLED CHICKEN & WAFFLE SANDWICH, the waffles comes with grilled chicken, sautéed mushroom, melted cheese, and a densely infused mushroom sauce that gives it a unique flavour & aroma. Licking up the sauce with a piece of waffle and top with a piece of chicken, it amplifies the overall flavours.

BERRIES & BANANA PANCAKE – is a super thin and crusty pizza dough, makes it perfect as the base for the topping of the Berries compote, bananas whipping cream and the flavourful maple syrup. This dish is more of a munching snack or desserts, although it is more than sufficient for a small eater.

The POTATO SALAD - The crunch of the boiled potato with an added drizzle of ham and cheese mayonnaise coating was a superb mix and a very complimentary starters.

Next is the GRILLED SALMON FILLET ON CRISPY POTATO CAKE, it is served with sautéed asparagus & homemade sauce which lent a subtle fragrance to the dish, The salmon was pan fried which has crisp skin while the flesh of the salmon retains its’ natural taste.

Lastly we had the BEEF BACON & SHRIMP PASTA – The natural salty taste of the beef bacon, springy shrimp topped with a layer of chilli sambal that is slightly spicy add a new dimension to the taste and positively addictive.

As for desserts, we started with the DESSERT WAFFLE TOPPED WITH GULA MELAKA ICE CREAM – This is a dessert worth saving your appetite for as the smooth and light sweetness of the flavourful Gula Melaka ice-cream jive well into the waffles.

For coffee, we had the AFFOGATO WITH CRUSHED CRANBERRY ALMOND BISCOTTI WITH: PANDAN KAYA ICE CREAM – a light single shot espresso – the espresso shot is not that strong and blended seamlessly with the smooth and velvety ice-cream of the pandan kaya, although we would have preferred the normal vanilla ice cream.

Lastly we had the AFFOGATO WITH CRUSHED CRANBERRY ALMOND BISCOTTI WITH COCONUT ICE CREAM.

Start your day with a hearty appetizing breakfast fare at Bites Café @ Lake Fields Sungei Besi.
