An Exquisite Liquor-Infused Banquet: Oriental Group’s 26th Anniversary Grand Celebration
🍽️ A Menu That Marries Liquor, Luxury & Legacy
Priced at RM2,988++ per table of 10, this curated menu is not just a feast — it’s a narrative told through nine indulgent courses, each thoughtfully infused or paired with regional liquors and international spirits to heighten the flavour journey.
1️⃣ Pickled Radish Roses with Japanese Plum Wine
This delicate starter is an artistic flourish. The pickled radish is subtly sweet and tangy, enhanced by the fruity fragrance of Japanese plum wine — a beautiful palate teaser.
2️⃣ Spring Rolls with Chinese Wine
A humble dish elevated to new heights. The crisp spring rolls hide a well-balanced filling that's gently perfumed with Chinese wine, bringing out earthy, umami tones.
3️⃣ Drunken Chicken with Vinegar Pearls
A play on classic drunken chicken, this version adds modernity with molecular vinegar pearls that pop in the mouth, cutting through the richness with bursts of acidity.
4️⃣ Chilled Japanese Sake Sea Clam
A standout cold appetiser — sweet, plump sea clams are gently marinated in chilled sake, imparting clean, refined flavours with a hint of ocean brininess.
5️⃣ XO Cognac Stuffed Duck with Shark Fin and Whole Abalones
Decadence personified. This showpiece dish layers tender duck infused with XO Cognac, and is luxuriously stuffed with seafood treasures like shark fin and whole abalone — a bold, silky, and deeply satisfying medley of land and sea.
6️⃣ 8 Years Aged Hulu ‘Shao Hsing’ Steamed Wild Sultan Fish
The highlight of liquor pairing — this rare wild-caught Sultan Fish is steamed with premium 8-year aged Shao Hsing wine. Its buttery flesh absorbs the mellow warmth of the liquor, creating a refined, soulful centrepiece.
7️⃣ Stuffed Prawn Paste in Morel Mushroom with Homemade Dried Scallop Sauce
A rich umami bomb. The prawn paste is juicy and springy, perfectly tucked into earthy morel mushrooms and enhanced by a deep, savoury scallop sauce.
8️⃣ Suckling Pig with ‘Mei Kui Lu’ Glutinous Rice Rolls & Cinnamon Whisky Braised Pork
A fusion of old and new — crispy roast suckling pig is paired with Mei Kui Lu-scented glutinous rice rolls, while the star of the plate is the tender pork braised in a warming cinnamon whisky reduction. Pure indulgence.
🍨 Dessert Finale: A Sweet Send-Off
9️⃣ Red Bean Paste with Guangzhou Old Tangerine Peel in Coconut
A nostalgic classic with a twist — the citrusy aged tangerine peel adds complexity to the mellow sweetness of red bean, served in creamy coconut.
🔟 Award-Winning Teochew Taro Puff
No celebration is complete without this flaky masterpiece. The taro filling is smooth, naturally sweet, and encased in a golden puff — a crowd favourite that ends the night on a high.
