Sunway Giza Cafe : The Art Coffee Breakfast Set Kota Damansara Selangor

The Art Coffee @ Sunway Giza has just introduced 4 new breakfast menu. We were there a couple of weeks ago, you can check out our earlier review (click this link) or The Art Coffee Facebook page for more info.

The first Breakfast set is the Big Breakfast (RM16.90). Served with Baked Beans, Sunny Side Up, Chicken Sausage, Beef Bacon and Garden Salad.

While the second breakfast set is the Sunny Side Up With Croissant (RM12.90) which is served with Turkey Ham, Croissant, Sunny Side Up, Garden Salad and Peppery Mushroom Sauce.

The Third is the Egg Ben Set (RM12.90). This set comes with Turkey Ham, Croissant, Sunny Side Up, Garden Salad, Sour Dough and Hollandaise Sauce.

And the last one is the American Breakfast Set (RM12.90). Chicken Sausage, Beef Bacon, Garden Salad and Cheezy Scramble Eggs.

These breakfast set are available from 8 am till 10 pm.

Kennys Food Cart @ Aman Suria Petaling Jaya Selangor

It's been quite some I have not patronised Kennys Food Cart stall located in the alley of Jalan SS2/4a, Taman Bahagia. 3 months ago, I bought my family to taste out the popular Teng Chai Chuk (porridge), and they really like this special porridge. We were told by Kenny that they will be relocating to a place in a month or two.

As my wife was an avid fan, we got news that they have moved to Aman Suria. They retain the food cart concept in this restaurant setup to provides its customer with a more comfortable atmosphere for dining in as compared to the stalls days where it is determined by nature.

Most of the food serve here are the same when they were at Taman Bahagia stall except for some adds on rice dishes.

Of course, one must taste out the Signature Teng Chai Chuk (RM 8.00). The porridge has many condiments that are added into it which includes anchovies, fried nuts, lots of scallions, cut fried fish paste and century eggs.

The next porridge is the Fish Paste Porridge (RM 8.00). The porridge is served with a soft texture fish paste.

There is a number of snacks food that is served at Kennys Food Cart among them are the Deep Fried Fish Paste (5 pcs for RM 4) which you can eat it with the porridge or noodles or on its own.

Next, we had the Fish Head Soup Noodles (RM 9.50). At Kennys the fish head is fried to a deep crisp and served separately. My preference for Fish Head Noodles is for the fried fish to be cooked with the noodles as this will add more taste to the broth.

Another one of the signature dishes is the Cantonese-Style 'Loh See Fun' (RM8.00) which is cooked in a sauce much like the Cantonese Ying Yeong but with a slightly bland taste. It is cooked with minced pork meat and topped with the Fried Dried Shrimp. I like the fried dried shrimp which has a slightly salty taste which blended well and gives a nice flavour to the mouse noodles.

One of the new addition is the Stewed Soy Chicken (RM 7.90) which is served with an egg and a bowl of rice. A meal all by itself.

The Art Coffee Sunway Giza Kota Damansara Selangor

The Art Coffee Sunway Giza is a new local cafe right in the heart of Sunway Giza Kota Damansara. Located near the entrance of Village Grocer, it offers diners the option of a freshly brewed coffee which can be accompanied by coffee pairing dishes.

Like most cafe, the setting is one of a bright outlook with plenty of daylight that comes from the foyer entrance of the Sunway Giza. One of the thing that we like most is the availability of power socket throughout the entire cafe and with a 100MB Wifi Internet access, it is a superb place to work on your notebook.

The Art Coffee Sunway Giza has just opened its doors about four months ago and have just revamped some of its dishes.

To start off our meal here, we have a Garden Salad with Beef Bacon (RM10.90 +RM5.00). At the Art Coffee, you can order a basic salad and then add on any of your favourite ingredient which are Beef Bacon, Smoked Chicken or Smoked Salmon; ours came with Beef Bacon. The sauce that came with the Salad is the Garlic Aioli sauce which is in-house made and have the right taste that blended with the refreshing salad.

We found that one of the popular items to be ordered here is the sandwiches, our order of sandwich is the Cheezy Turkey Slice (RM14.90) which is loaded with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cheese and turkey slice. This ingredient is sandwiched with an in-house made Ciabatta bread which has a very nice texture. It is also served with a special sauce which you can spread on the sandwich.

Next, we had 2 pizza, which the first is a 6" (Small) Hawaiian Mojo Pizza (RM15.90) which is topped with pineapples, chicken meat and condiments.

the second pizza is the 10" (Regular) Pepper Pepperoni Pizza (RM20.90). These pizzas are prepared using a Freeze Blasting Technology to retains the natural texture and taste of the ingredient.

To enjoy your cuppa of specially brewed coffee you can order some of the pastries items. Among the notable is the Strawberry Berliner (RM4.00) which is a doughnut with strawberries filling. The texture of the dough has a soft texture. You can request to have your Berliner either served chill or hot.

Our order of the other pastries includes the Apple Cinnamon Strudels (RM2.90), Sultana Danish (RM2.90) and the Chicken Curry Puff (RM2.90) which has a very flaky and crisp dough which we like.

Or you could order their Chicken Pie (RM13.90) which is filled with potatoes, corn, carrots and chicken meat. Best to be eaten when it is still piping hot.

Lastly, you can opt to finish your meals with some sweet offering of the Les Petit-Clair (RM3.50).

or for fans of the macaroon can taste out the Artisan Macaroon (RM5.00).

For the coffee beans, at The Art Coffee, every month you get to taste a different blend of beans. The current blend which is used to brew our coffee; is a mix blend of made out of 80% Brazil origin and 20% Indian origin which extrudes a nutty sweet flavour.

Latte

The concept of changing the blend is to provide coffee enthusiast, the opportunity to try out the different offering on a monthly basis.

This will cultivate the art of tasting the different blend and also not a have a familiar taste day in day out.

Besides coffee being served at The Art Coffee, you can also opt for the GRYPHON series of tea (RM9.00) selection; like the Earl Grey Lavender, Pearl of the Orient, Chamomile or the English Breakfast Tea.

and for fans of matcha, can try out the Green Tea Latte (RM12.90).

For those that love cakes, there is also wide selection available from the counter at RM13.90 per piece to satisfy your cravings.

We got a chance to taste out a newly opened Korean BBQ ala carte Buffet at Hwa Ga 火家 Korean BBQ Buffet Restaurant San Nae Deul @Sunway Giza Petaling Jaya outlet recently.

There are many Korean BBQ Buffet Restaurant in the Klang Valley, a number of them offer a very limited selection of food to choose from. Here at Hwa Ga 火家 San Nae Deul Korean BBQ Buffet Restaurant, you will be spoilt with choices which range from fresh meats to marinated meats to some of the other Korean Authentic Traditional dishes.

This ensures that you will definitely fill your stomach to the brim when you leave the restaurant. Frankly speaking, for the first time, I did not have the stomach to taste every single dish in a buffet as some of the mains were already filling up my stomach.

Imagine having more than 31 choices to choose from and this does not include the snack dishes. Check out the menu above to see whether your favourite dish is there. We are sure that you will easily find a couple of your favourite BBQ and Korean dishes from the menu.

Firstly, let me highlight some of my personal favourite which is the Pork Jowl (pork cheek). For me, this is one of the best cut for BBQ as the fats layers have a firm tender texture while the meat is tender when you BBQ this meat. I ordered 3 serving of this dish.

followed by the various cut of Pork Belly, Lamb and Beef cut

and then the Grilled Squid which has a marinade in it,

or the Marinated Pork which has a slightly saltier flavours.

Finally for me - is the Fried Chicken which has a nice crisp of the skin. Simply sinfully but delicious. Wish I had more stomach to fill in.

and for those that love its fried chicken with sauce coating, can try Hwa Ga Fried Chicken with Sweet and Chilli Sauce.

While there is, you can also try out the appetising looking Bibimbap

or the 2 different pancake offering of Kim Chi Pancake and the Spring Onion Pancake with Korean Noodles.

and more dishes that we didn't have the chance to taste like the other marinated meat like the sliced pork belly, beef with soy sauce, or marinated pork ribs and many more choices.
