OutDark SS15 Subang Jaya - Korean Popular Hipster Restaurant

Experience the Outdark dining experience at SS15 Subang Jaya its' 47th store.

It is a very popular hipster restaurant and was started in Busan, Korea which serves Korean fusion food. Outdark has a very relax and cosy ambience where it is a place where youngster like to hang out.

For starters, we had the HAEUNDAE KIMCHI JIJIM (RM25.00). This is a vegetarian pan-fried pancake with Kimchi and vegetable topping.

Another starter that we had is the OUTDARK FRIED CHICKEN; the fried chicken here is served as boneless making it easy to eat and also as a bite-size to accompany your favourite drink. There are a number of flavours to choose from but we had the Original flavour (RM45.00). One of the nice things about Korean Fried Chicken is many of the restaurant chain uses Premium Oil and OUTDARK is no exception to this.

The Seafood Halmae Ddeok Bokki (RM67)) is a combo platter which consists of Seaweed Rice, Fried Chicken, Kim Chi, Sweet Corn and a combo of Mozzarella Cheddar Cheese. Served in a specially designed hot plate with a special Korean sauce and Toppokii.

Next on is the Dam Yang Beef Ddeok Galbi (RM69.00) a dish which consists of Ground Beef Patties with Honey Garlic Korean Sauce and serves with Rice, Cheese and Assorted Vegetables.

Followed by the  Cheese Kingdom (RM88.00) - Marinated Chicken Meat with Spicy Korean Sauce served on a hot plate with Rice, Cheese and Assorted Vegetables. To eat this, each piece of the seasoned Chilli Sauce Fried Chicken are wrapped with the lava-like cheese.

The melted cheese is used to wrap the Fried Chicken.

Next, we had the Chef Choi Hot Pot (RM65.00) which is filled with mushroom slices and topped with seasoned beef strips and vegetables. We like the broth that came with the hotpot. Once you have eaten the ingredients, you put in the white rice and gives it a few stir; and you have made a porridge.

Makgeolli is a traditionally made from rice grains. It is originally popular among farmers but has since been popular with the younger generation especially the women. But here at Outdark, they served their brand of Makgeolli which enables you to enjoy fresh fruit and the unique taste. We were ordered the Apple Mango Makgeolli (RM37.00).

Our second after dinner drink is the Subank Soju (RM45.00) a creation of watermelon with Soju. Quite a popular drinks in Korean restaurant nowadays.

So, there you have it, Korean fans can enjoy all the delicious and lip-smacking dishes at OutDark Subang Jaya SS15.

Kazumi Japanese Cuisine New Menu Hotel Bangi Putrajaya Selangor

Kazumi Japanese Cuisine is a very popular Japanese Restaurant in Bangi Selangor. Recently, it has introduced new Japanese Fusion dishes that not only gives you a wow factor look but taste equally exquisite.

Kazumi Japanese Cuisine is located at the Lower Ground of Hotel Bangi Putrajaya with a modern Japanese theme. For more information on the latest promotion and information, you can check out their Website or Facebook page.

We are here to taste this new menu dishes specially curated by their Chef; the first of which is the Surf & Turf (RM 99).A combo platter which is filled with Teppanyaki beef, Prawn tempura, Chicken Karrage, Potato salad and Grilled Mackerel. The beef Teppanyaki is pan-fried to a tender and juicy texture.

The next dish is followed by a kebab style (skewers) teriyaki Kushi Yaki (RM 99); it’s a signature dish of Kazumi, but chances are you would have enjoyed this fusion Japanese treat here. This is a worthy starter which has the slathering of tiny, tender, well-seasoned meat and seafood grilled to the perfect char.

For sushi fan Sushi On Rack (RM 49) offers a distinctive savoury choice of 6 exquisitely crafted Sushi.

Kazumi Poke Ball version aka Chirashi Sushi (Regular- RM 69; Premium- RM 99) which has layers of vinagraite, salmon chunks, seaweed and topped with Sashimi pieces is indeed very pleasing to the eyes. Looking exquisite with the perfect addon and a combination of texture makes it a delightful treats.

Next on you can taste the Fire and Ice (RM 69) platters which have the deep fried soft shell crab sushi and sprinkles of prawn roe served with a mayo-based dressing. While the lower rack is a sashimi combo which is bedded with a layer of crushed ice; giving the customer a feel of a hot and cold dish with precise, harmonious flavours and textures.

If you like something unique, the Flying Noodles Inaniwa Udon (RM 49) might just be the right one for you, you can go nuts for the dish, and not only because it's tasty - but the combo of its colours! It's practically magical as demonstrated by the kitchen’s attention to detail slurping down that tasty dipping of Salted Eggs Yolks.

At Kazumi; there are 4 different desserts offering the first of which is the Candle Lit Panna Cotta (RM 24) served with a lit candle and accompanied with Mango and Mixed Berrie's coulis.

Followed by the Green Tea Tiramisu (RM24) simple yet so good. The green tea tiramisu is served with Sesame Ice Cream.

Shingen Mochi (RM 18) is a traditional Japanese rice-cake dessert that is sprinkled with soybean powder and served with brown sugar syrup; it is so delicate it literally melts in your mouth. The cake is made using mineral water and agar-agar and resembles a giant raindrop - and that is exactly what it tastes like with the toppings that give the dessert a molasses and roasted nutty flavour.

HPPNK 2017 Hari Peladang Malaysia Food Fest MAEPS Serdang Selangor

There are a lot of activities and learning experience in this year HPPNK 2017 Hari Peladang Malaysia Food Fest happening at MAEPS Serdang from 28th September 2017 to 1st October 2017 10.00am to 10.00pm.

Guest and trade visitors will be able to look for business opportunities in the agricultural sector. Ranging from farm equipment to seedlings and right to the final food product, there is definitely a lot to start with.

Families will be able to join in this HPPNK 2017 festivities while learning and to be able to guide their young on the importance of agriculture industry as a job and business opportunities.

One of the things that we learn today is the availability of laughing chicken (Ayam Ketawa). Yes, apparently this species from Indonesia origin of chicken makes sounds that mimic a person laugh.

Too bad when we were there it did not crow probably due to the large crowd at the booth (but the above is a video depicting a similar Ayam Ketawa).

There are also petting zoo for you to really get up close to these farms animals.

The second thing is the Stingless Bees Honey, last year at MAHA 2016, we tasted it fresh from the nest. You can check it out at this link. But, this year they serve us this honey with a texture similar to a salmon roe, where you can pop it in your mouth with a bursting sourish sweet natural taste of this honey.

You can also try out a new product which is Virgin Coconut Oil

And the last exciting avenues is on our last stop at the Food Empayar which I will run thru some of the delicious fare on offer. But for now, some of the other highlights include a cooking demonstration by Celebrity Chef. We only have gotten to see the Chef At Pacific West in action.

Next, we visit the Pineapple booth which showcases its prized pineapples which is MD2 species. This species is a sweet tasting hybrid that is now planted all over Malaysia. Recent research has yielded from the juice to become extract that is Bromelain.

Pineapple Juice from Bob

There are also the King of Fruits store where you can taste the D24 and Musang King varieties that are on sales there. While you are there you can also taste the new durian based food like ice cream and more.

or you can buy some fruits plants on your way home.

Agrobazzar is another stop that you must visit, as there are many Malaysian made food products that are available for you to taste and to buy home.

Examples of these are the Asam Boi Kedondong

Ready-made food

While you can also taste the flavourful Tuna satay which has the texture of the chicken but a healthier option.

Bird Nest

Other interesting things to do is the contest where you guess the weight of the Lembu Sado with RM20,000.00 prizes to be won.

Or you can guess the number of fruits in this jackfruits

or you can take part in the cooking competition to show your cooking prowess

But for me, the most important one that must not be missed are the loads and loads of food to be eaten at the Food Empayar

starting with Grilled Chicken

Grilled Fish

Fusion Burgers

Cendol Songkok Tinggi

Durian Crepes

Char Kway Teow Food Truck

All-in-all, it has been a super fun and eye-opening experience for everyone at the HPPNK 2017. There are some much things for you to see, watch, explore and taste (many free-tasting booths). New technology, new concept and new inventions are all for us to check out this HPPNK 2017! as the vision of Pertanian adalah Perniagaan - Agriculture is Business.
